Common questions
What is your refund policy?+
If your eSIM has not been installed, you can request a refund from Support. Once an eSIM has been installed or used we cannot normally offer a refund, but please contact us if you had a technical problem and we will help.
Do I need to turn on data roaming?+
Yes. When you arrive, go to Settings → Mobile Data → select your travel eSIM → turn on **Data Roaming**. Roaming on the travel eSIM is included in your plan. Make sure Mobile Data is set to use the travel eSIM.
Can I use personal hotspot / tethering?+
Most plans support hotspot. Where the network has confirmed hotspot support it is shown on the plan card. Fair usage policies may apply.
What is an eSIM?+
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of inserting a plastic SIM card, you download a mobile plan straight to your device. You can keep your regular SIM active for calls and texts while using the eSIM for data.
Is my iPhone compatible?+
iPhone XS, XR and newer support eSIM. Your iPhone must be **carrier-unlocked**. Models sold in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao may not support eSIM. To check, go to Settings → General → About and look for "Digital SIM" or "Available SIM". Compatibility and menu names can vary by carrier and iOS version.
Does my eSIM include a phone number?+
Most travel plans are data-only. Some networks assign a number for technical reasons; where available it is shown on the eSIM details screen. You can still use apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime and iMessage over data.
